Some New Photos

by on Nov.02, 2015, under General

My photos are getting worked on, but my poor blog has lost my attention.

The family that has me do their photos had me do some Halloween shots for them so I thought I’d share.Jane Young IMG_0491 ArielleThe First photo is of a 90 something year old Grandmother and the next is her husband. This was their 70th anniversary. Both of these people are WWII veterans so this was a monumental occasion.  The family celebrated at the living home with a catered dinner and cake.

They had a really neat little set up of old love letters that the grandfather had written when they were both young prior to getting married.

I love events like this because it lets you tap into someone’ life and learn a little something about the past at the same time.

The lower photo is the youngest member of the entire family.  I found it interesting that this little baby had such dark hair and these deep gray eyes.

I’ve never seen eyes like that before on a baby and wanted to document.

I hope you like my new photos!

Zone system : is the method of determining exposure and development required for individual scenes, invented by Ansel Adams. It is based on analysis of subject luminosities in terms of ten gray tones, labeled zones 0 through X and previsualizing them as print densities. By measuring each subject luminance with a hand meter it is possible to determine how much the range of values must be contracted or expanded by negative development control to give the required values in the print.
